From Goodreads: Ever since she was eight years old, high school student Janie Hannagan has been uncontrollably drawn into other people's dreams, but it is not until she befriends an elderly nursing home patient and becomes involved with an enigmatic fellow-student that she discovers her true power.

My Review: When I first saw the cover, for some reason, I thought it was a bag of drugs. Upon further investigation and actually using my head, I realized that it was a pillow. I like the simplicity of the cover and the one word title which is large. Black book covers always make me happy and if you would look at my bookshelf, you would see that I have nearly two shelves of them. I always saw this book at the store and would pick it up and put it down again and I am not really sure why. I finally put it on hold at the library and I was pleased.

You just have to feel a little bad for Janie. She is virtually living alone and trying to deal with her issues all by herself. Working constantly to keep up with house duties and hopefully go to college someday, she has a tough life. The whole concept of the story was very interesting. I always thought if someone saw my dreams, they would be so creeped out. I always dream things that don't make sense. Janie has the unfortunate curse of being sucked into the dreams of everyone sleeping around her.

Sometimes I just wanted to shake Janie and say, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?". She doesn't think somethings through, but that makes her real to the readers. I am very much looking forward to the sequel and have downloaded the companion piece to this one already. It was a super quick read and one night, without realizing it, I stayed up until 5 AM reading.
