City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. After reading the ARC of Clockwork Angel, I wanted to get my hands on everything Cassandra Clare has ever touched. I put myself right on that library waiting list and it's finally here. This jumped in front of all of my other to be read books and I started reading it already. I'm only a few chapters in, but it is already fabulous. It will be going on my trip to Boston with me tomorrow.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith. I still haven't read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but when I saw this one was actually available at my library--no waiting lists involved, I had to snatch it up. It's only 300 some pages, so it should be a quick read. I'm hoping it is good.
White Cat: The Curse Workers Book One by Holly Black. I have heard a lot of good things about this book, so I was excited to see it on the shelf. Any sort of fantasyish book is usually a-okay with me!
Now, in my review of Pirate Latitudes, I mentioned the cool pages of the book. I finally got around to uploading my photos, so you will be able to see them below!
piratessssssssssss
Also, here is a fabulous picture of my snacky snack while reading. Does anyone else snack a lot while they read?
'gasmic, right?
On another note, I am leaving for Boston tomorrow and I'll be back on Thursday. I'm going to try to set up some reviews to post while I'm away, but it is already almost 2 AM, so we shall see how that works out. If not, you can definitely expect a giveaway post (yay, my first!) on Friday for the Got Books? event! It's shaping up to be a pretty good one... audio book, soundtrack and some other goodies. :) Have a good week and if you need anything, email me at kaitlynkline (at) gmail (dot) com!
Those books look pretty cool! I'll remember some of those (I hope...). I always love going to the library and picking out a new batch of books. That snack...ohmygosh. It looks DE-LI-CI-OUS. Oh my gosh...
ReplyDeleteahh i used to love going to the library for summer reading books. Used to have a competition with my bro to see how many we could read in one summer. #nerdalert.
ReplyDeleteYou are really inspiring me to start leisure reading again! (and wow.. that dessert is INSANELY freaking good lookin)
Meg and Shannon, you guys don't even know. Cheesecake Factory--white chocolate carmel macadamia nut cheesecake. *drool*
ReplyDeleteShannon--it's okay, I have competitions with myself to see how many I can read haha so I'm with you on the #nerdalert
OO I hope you like White Cat. I enjoyed it. That desert is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteYou should LOVE the Claire book. As for White Cat, I have heard mixed reviews, so I will watch for your review. Great mailbox.
ReplyDeletei really want to read white cat!! enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with City of Bones. I hope you have the other two on hold at your library. As soon as I finished the first, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the other two. They aren't exactly a "read at your leisure" trilogy - you'll be kicking yourself until you get to read the others.
ReplyDeleteOoh thanks guys--I'll bump White Cat up on my priority list for you!
ReplyDeleteMorelockian-- I have City of Ashes being shipped to my library now. Once that one comes in, I'll request the third one :) I can already tell that I'm going to want to keep reading and reading.
