The whole idea of the Butterfly Effect is really interesting to me. Like... will a decision I make today change my life 20 years from now? It quite possibly could. Ah, life is so unpredictable and amazing.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17221139516852061205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409726402399268408.post-39999167483410800252011-09-13T10:59:51.358-04:002011-09-13T10:59:51.358-04:00@BURIED IN BOOKS

If you don't get that job, it's because there is the job that's right for you waiting right around the corner. There's also that whole thing of--you stopped for coffee at Starbucks, even though you normally go to Dunkin Donuts and this is where you meet love of your life/someone looking for an employee just like you/etc. It's fun to think about!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17221139516852061205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409726402399268408.post-15348956631628089172011-09-13T10:56:59.813-04:002011-09-13T10:56:59.813-04:00@Fiktshun

I don't think I would be fighting it too much. I'm a big believer in the Butterfly Effect, and always think that if something *were* changed, even a minor little tweak, even worse things would happen. Too many bad scifi movies for me, I think!

Smiles!
LoriLoriStronginhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10764202539292045963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409726402399268408.post-80502633807319310882011-09-12T02:22:07.470-04:002011-09-12T02:22:07.470-04:00I kind of think we are right where we are supposed...I kind of think we are right where we are supposed to be doing the thing we are supposed to be doing. I do think though we have a choice in the matter. We can stray from the path we are supposed to be on, drugs, alcohol can play a big part in that, crime can too. But for the most part, we are where we are for a reason. But I think it's b/c of our choices, though I tend to think we had a guiding hand whether it be the fates or the furies or some other higher power.

God help us all if the world depended me for the future!

HeatherBURIED IN BOOKShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18205451716054533728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409726402399268408.post-75799732696019121042011-09-09T05:15:56.139-04:002011-09-09T05:15:56.139-04:00Although I do believe just a little bit in destiny...Although I do believe just a little bit in destiny and fate, I don't think it's just set in stone. And I would totally fight it every step of the way. Even if I couldn't change it, I'd at least know I tried my very best.

Of course, if Fate were all full of great things - happy future, wealth beyond imagination - well, yeah, I don't think I'd be fighting things then. I mean, who would? Forget happiness, I want a miserable life, haha. No. Don't think so.

Great post idea. Definitely thought-provoking.Fiktshunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17427683900301365770noreply@blogger.com
